Qualitative Research

Created the user interview and UT, with 5 user to Find pain points when participants use the Spotify application and Find out more in the behaviour / habits of users when using the Spotify application.

Top Finding

And based on the Interview with 5 user, here are the key insights presented below:

Competitive Analysis

In order to get a solid understanding of how our competitors are doing in the market and to lay out a solid foundation, I did a competitor analysis which consisted of direct and indirect competitors.

Emphaty Map

After get insight from user, I created Empathy Map to find out the pain points of the users. I decided to solve those problems with my designs. I listed down each problem and researched a lot and approached for the final solution.

User Persona

Created personas to understand more about the user's problems.

How Might We

Created HMW - Solution based on Problem Statement. I’m using Prioritization Matrix to project the suitability of my idea with the available time objectively.

Prioritazion Matrix

User & Business Goals

To compare both the user and business I created a diagram to get better understanding for Business goals and User goals with technical constraints.

Sitemap

To make the user easily understand with new Spotify features, I designed Information Architecture/Sitemap to show what is already there, and then place the new prioritized Merch features into the map, as highlighted below.

Userflow

I created a user flow that the user uses as a flow to search for products and look for vouchers. which I will visualize later in the form of a wireframe.

Crazy 8

After deciding on the feature flow process, I created sketches of the wireframes focusing on accessing the feature and adding the merch in artist page.

Wireflow

From the wireframe above, which then becomes this wireflow with a flow starting from the homepage and ending at the checkout page. to explain the flow when a user searches for a product and redeems a voucher to buy a product.

Style Guide

In order to effectively emulate Spotify's visual components and branding, I referred to their logo and color guidelines to build the new social feature. I included different versions of its brand logo, as well as the color palette and font used. I used this style tile to guide in my design process to help emulate Spotify's design patterns.

Hi Fi Wireframe

Here is a high level overview of my hi-fi prototype. I tried my best to make it look as close as possible to Spotify’s interface.
